Maths Twilight Programme

Maths Twilight Programme Overview

Supporting GCSE levels 7, 8, 9 and preparing students for A-level.

This programme of short twilight sessions is perfect for GCSE teachers that want to extend their knowledge and skills so that students are really well prepared for A-level. We aim to rekindle mathematical passion and develop teacher confidence with bits of maths that might have been long forgotten! The twilights will help support your own results at GCSE as well as preparing students for the next stage in their mathematical learning journey.

Course Aims

  • To develop ideas for stretch and challenge in GCSE Maths.
  • To support teachers that are delivering, or considering delivering, level 2 extension courses (such as Certificate in Further Maths).
  • To develop teacher understanding of the links between content at GCSE and A-level in order to ensure smooth and highly effective transition.
  • To develop teacher confidence and subject knowledge with pockets of content from A-level which links to content at GCSE.
